Trabalho, Educação e Saúde - TES (Work, Education and Health) is an open access scientific journal, edited by the Joaquim Venâncio Polytechnic School of Health, from Oswaldo Cruz Foundation.
This essay analyses the contemporary forms of capitalism, turning to the mirages put forward by the entertainment industry and by the mass images as well as to the culturalist, relativist and populist streams of post-modern thought. We will attempt to show how these variations on the theme of blindness weaken the critical tradition built by previous generations in Brazil and in the world.
